Medication: If your child requires medication (non-prescription or prescribed by a physician), please notify the school and complete the necessary forms (available at the office). All medication must be sent to the office for safe-keeping. Please note that medication cannot be administered without first completing the necessary forms. Thank you.
Asthma and other medical conditions: The YCDSB recognizes that there are some students within the school system who have a diagnosis of Asthma or other medical conditions, which could be life-threatening. The YCDSB also recognizes that asthma management and the management of other medical conditions, is a shared responsibility among students, parents, caregivers and the entire school community. It is the responsibility of parent(s)/guardian(s) to advise the school immediately upon registration and/or when in receipt of a diagnosis. It is also the responsibility of parent(s)/guardian(s) to ensure that all medical information pertinent to their child’s diagnosis is always current. If your child has a medical diagnosis, please contact the school immediately to ensure that all appropriate forms and medical management plans are completed and that all school records, information and necessary medication is up to date.
