Annual San Marco CES Terry Fox Walk

Annual San Marco CES Terry Fox Walk

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the Terry Fox Walk. Terry Fox’s dream was to run across Canada to raise awareness for cancer. He remains a true example of courage, determination, perseverance, and humility—qualities that continue to inspire Canadians and people around the world.

At San Marco CES, we proudly participate in this annual tradition. On Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, classes will be invited to join the SMO Terry Fox Walk at approximately 1:00 pm in our school community.

  • Grades 1–8: Walk together in the afternoon.

    • Grades 4–8 will complete the loop twice.

    • Grades 1–3 will complete the loop once.

  • FDK Students: Will participate on school grounds with their teachers, ECEs, and support staff.

On this day, we encourage all students to wear red and white or a Canada t-shirt in honour of our Canadian hero, Terry Fox.

In the event of rain, the walk will be moved to the following day: Wednesday, September 17th, 2025.

Families are also invited to support this cause by donating to our school’s fundraising page:

All funds raised will be donated to the Terry Fox Foundation.

Together, we can make a difference!
