Dear San Marco Families,
“For it is in giving, that we receive” – St. Francis of Assisi
Our San Marco ChristmasStore is Back once more. To celebrate the spirit of GIVING the Luke 4:18 Club is asking our generous San Marco community for new and gently used donations in order to restock our Christmas Store! Time to clean out those closets, drawers, pantries, and basements!
Please send to school ANY unwanted, new or gently used child and adult clothing, books, toys, kitchen items, toiletries, gift-sets, trinkets and other knick knacks that can be sold in our store. Remember that one person’s junk is another person’s treasure. Additionally, this year, we are also asking for donations of any extra/unwanted Christmas wrapping materials (gift bags, wrapping paper, gift tags, boxes, ribbon/bows).
Beginning Friday December 16th 2022 the store will be open for business. At that time, students in the PRIMARY division will have an opportunity to SHOP at the storeand purchase gifts for their loved ones for a small fee. (The cost of items in the store will range from $1.00 to no more than $8.00, (depending on the item and its quality) – more information about how to purchase items will follow).
Purchased items will then be wrapped by our little junior division elves and our Luke 4:18 stewards and delivered to our primary customers just in time for them to bring all their gifts home and place them under the tree before Christmas break.
On Christmas morning our youngest primary students will truly feel the joy of giving as they see their loved ones open the gifts they have thoughtfully chosen and purchased for them. More information for our primary student shoppers will follow in early December. Please stay tuned.
Proceeds from the Christmas store sales will go to benefit those in need at Christmas. Item donations will be accepted beginning Wednesday November 23rd 2022 until Friday December 9th 2022 via your child’s teacher or at the front office of the school. So please, take some time to declutter and donate for this exciting endeavor and worthy cause!
We thank you in advance for your giving spirit San Marco!
