On Tuesday, February 21st, our Catholic School Council will host our SMO Pancake Tuesday event for all our students!
The SMO CSC, with support of parent volunteers, will be providing one pancake to students as a snack on (or about) Shrove Tuesday, February 21, 2023. In an effort to ensure the safety of everyone, we are providing the list of ingredients for both the pancake mix and for the syrup that will be used on that day. Please review the ingredient lists and inform us if there are any concerns regarding your child.
Ingredients in pancake mix: (Pearl Milling Company Complete Original “Just Add Water”) –wheat flour, corn flour, sugar, modified milk ingredients, monocalcium phosphate, dextrose, baking soda, salt, wheat gluten, colour.
Contains: wheat and milk ingredients.
Ingredients in syrup: (Pearl Milling Company Syrup – Original)
–Glucose, glucose-fructose, water, cellulose gum, salt, colour, sodium benzoate, sodium hexametaphosphate, sorbic acid, natural and artificial flavour.
Ingredients in Canola Oil Cooking Spray: (Great Value)
–Canola oil
Please note, the pancakes will be prepared in the morning and served as a snack. Students will still require a lunch. Please contact us as soon as possible if you have any questions or concerns.
