What is a Standardized Dress Code?
San Marco follows an SDC—not a uniform—meaning families can purchase clothing from any retailer, provided it follows the approved colours and guidelines below. Please note the dress code does not apply to footwear, outerwear, or gym clothes.
BOTTOMS
- Colour: Black only
- Style: Solid colour, logo no larger than a Loonie
- Permitted:
- Pants, athletic pants (e.g., Adidas with stripes), yoga pants, cargo pants
- Walking shorts, capri pants
- Skirts/skorts (skirts with sewn-in shorts)
- Not permitted: Jeans or denim of any kind
TOPS
- Colours: White, black, gray, or maroon only
- Style: Solid colour, logo no larger than a Loonie
- Permitted:
- Shirts, t-shirts, long sleeves, golf shirts, turtlenecks
- Sweaters, sweater vests, cardigans, pullovers, sweatshirts, hoodies\
SPIRIT WEAR
Students may wear San Marco Spirit Wear as part of the SDC, including:
- Official Lion Wear sold through the school
- Grade 8 and SK graduation shirts (when applicable)
Any existing San Marco Spirit Wear—regardless of colour—will still be allowed.

CIVVIES DAY
Civvies Day will continue on the last Friday of every month, when students may wear non-SDC clothing. We kindly ask students to bring a Loonie or Toonie donation. All proceeds will support our year-long ShareLife Mission, helping those in need throughout our broader community.
